Have you ever sent a message to your mom or friends asking to check in on you in a short while, because you were feeling vulnerable? Leaving a party late at night for example, or worrying something might happen to you?
Have you ever thought about what would happen if something happened to you? How long would it take your loves ones, not only next of kin, but also friend, partner, to realize something's wrong? In case of an accident, how long it would take before someone takes care of your dog, waiting for you alone at home?
Tribe Check allows you to anticipate and plan your personal safety, and share important information you would like your loved ones to get in case, and only in case, something happens to you (reminder to take care of your pet, contacts of the hotel you are staying at, etc.)
How it works
Checks in on you at scheduled times
Notifies your tribe of missed checkins
Personalized information messages
Snapshots (location, battery level, etc.)
For who?
Persons feeling vulnerable or in danger
Dog owners
Single parents
Travellers
Program when you want the app to check in on you. You can add useful information, like the place you're going to, the licence registration of the cab you're getting in, etc.
At the chosen time, you will receive a checkin notification on your device.
➡️ If you answer "I'm ok", all is good and nothing happens.
➡️ If you don't answer, or if you click on "I need help", your tribe will receive an alarm, including your missed checkins, personalized message and latest snapshots.
➡️ You can also click on "Snooze" to okay this checkin and create a new one in 15 minutes.
You receive notifications when a friend in your tribe misses a checkin. You can see useful details in the app, including their battery level, personalized message and location (if they authorized it.)
Our job ends here: we let it to you to make sure your friend is ok via your usual communication channels (phone, sms, socials, etc.) and contact the authorities if necessary.
Tribe Check is available on the Play Store for Android and on the App Store for iOS (iPhones, iPads.) It ia available in English and French. It is available in all countries except France at the moment (but we are working on that.)
We apologize for any inconvenience! The best way is to send us a message via the contact form in the app itself, so we can collect useful data to solve the issue: in the app, go to the home page, then click on the "i" icon on the top right. From the About page, click on Contacts, and select "Report issue / technical problem" as the topic. We then will contact you on the entered email address to solve the issue together. Thanks for your patience!
First of all, you will want to make sure you allowed Tribe Check to use notifications. You can open your device settings, then choose Tribe Check in the application list and check that notifications are allowed. We also suggest trying to close then open the app again, just in case. And if it still doesn't work, another option is to uninstall then reinstall the app from the Play or App Store. Sorry for the inconvenience!
This can happen in several cases, and is linked to your operating system. It means that your phone evaluates that Tribe Check notifications are not urgent enough to distract you at this moment. This can happen if your phone has been off for some time, or if the battery is running low, or if the app hasn't been used for a while. The more you open Tribe Check, the more its notifications will be considered as important!
Yes, you can use your account to log in to Tribe Check from multiple devices at the same time. Android and Apple smartphones and tablets work. Please note that on the opposite only one account can be connected on a device, which means you will only receive notifications on the devices you are the last user to have logged in on. So one user on several devices, but only one user per device.
Thanks for your interest! The best way is to send us a feedback is via the contact form in the app itself: in the app, go to the home page, then click on the "i" icon on the top right. From the About page, click on Contacts, and select "Other" as the topic. Thanks :)
